When you choose the CAT® Fusion™ Wheel Loader Coupler System, you're choosing to revolutionize the way you work. This new, patented interface provides coupler flexibility with performance virtually identical to pin-on. Fusion is designed for and provides unrivaled flexibility to Caterpillar wheel loader models ranging from the 924 to the 972, including the IT38 and IT62. This unique, single interface allows many machines to share the same work tools – a cost reducing system for multi-loader fleets.

The Genius of Fusion

The system pulls the coupler and work tool closer to the wheel loader which moves the center of gravity closer to the machine. How much of a difference can this make? Imagine lifting a hundred-pound box with your arms fully extended. Now, imagine lifting that same load close to your body. The Fusion wheel loader coupler system increases lifting ability compared to machines equipped with other coupler systems. Another benefit to operators includes excellent sight lines to the work tool, load and target location. The new, open coupler frame design opens sight lines from the operator's seat, making it easier than ever before to engage and disengage attachments with certainty.

Design Delivers Tight Fit

The advanced wedging mechanism of the Fusion Coupler creates a tight, rattle-free fit. The wedges pull the attachment tight to the machine in two directions – in and down. Constant hydraulic pressure on the coupler wedges compensate for wear, assuring a tight fit throughout the life of the coupler. The tight fit delivers better work tool control and increased productivity. The result: by eliminating play and wear, durability is significantly increased over traditional couplers.

Simplified Work Tool Inventory

Once Fusion is in place, you'll get one common interface which eliminates the need for many different couplers across the entire range of CAT small and medium wheel loaders. Imagine the flexibility this will give you in the field. This new compatibility not only allows one machine to pick up a range of work tools, but also for one work tool to be used by several different machines.
